The Andis UltraEdge Cat Blade in size 10 leaves the coat 1.5 mm. This A5 blade fits all brands of A5 model clippers. Check which clipper models this blade fits below, before you buy.
Specifically designed for grooming cats. Teeth pattern and EGT coating performs better with finer coats. Gets under knots and matted coats for lion cuts, spot trimming or full body clipping for cats. Popular for fine-coat rabbit breeds also.
This is a detachable, A5 style, finish cut (FC) blade that fits all A5 model clippers by any brand. Check below that this blade fits your clippers before you order as blades cannot be returned if you order the wrong one for your clippers.
A5 style: A5 blades are standard fit blades for use with all brands of A5 model clippers, including Andis, Wahl, Heiniger, Oster & more. Important: Not all clippers by those brands are A5 models. If you don't know if your clipper is an A5 model, always check the A5 clipper chart before you buy.
Finish Cut: Longer blades come in 2 teeth types: FC or F which both stand for Finish Cut - or ST which means Skip Tooth. Shorter blades only come in FC. Unless experienced using ST blades, use FC. If unsure, check the FC and ST blade guide before you buy.
This is an EGT coated blade (Electro-Glide Technology) which results in a faster cut by feeding the hair through the blade better, and also reduces corrosion to help extend blade lifetime. It's particularly well suited for fine yet dense coats, such as the Ragdoll, Birman, Persian and Maine Coon, but suitable for all cat coats, long, combination, and short. EGT reduces track marks for a cleaner, smoother finish.
TIP for very badly matted coats: The #30 is best used when the coat is badly knotted or matted because it gets right under knots and mats, closer to the skin, for easier, safer removal. If unsure, use a 30 instead of a 10 for badly matted coats.
Read the Blade Care Guide before using any blade.
The guide covers correct blade use, coat length, clipping direction, explains Finish Cut (FC) and Skip Tooth (ST), shows correct oil application, explains blade burn, how to reduce blade heat, coolant use, cleaning & correct storage.
