Collection: Show Blades
Why are these show blades? Both the Wahl Ultimate and Andis Electro-Glide Technology (EGT) blades have a treatment dip coating that smoothes the cutting surface, removing imperfections. The result is a faster, more even, far smoother finish cut with reduced track lines. This also extends blade life due to the added rust and corrosion resistence.
You'll also see EGT blades are colour-coded for use. For competition use and showdogs, look for the Andis EGT UltraEdge+ Black blades for the smoothest finish, available in 5FC & 7FC, or the Wahl Ultimate Competition Series blades (also black) in 10 or 15. Andis EGT Black blades combine EGT plus a unique tooth pattern for a more even coat feed.
For cats you want the Green EGT Cat Blades with their unique teeth pattern for cat coats (popular for rabbits also), or upgrade your standard #10 blade to the Andis Charcoal EGT #10.
Then there's the ShowEdge blades, with more teeth to lift and guide the hair more freely across the cutting blade for a super smooth, show quality finish.
