Heiniger's best selling Xplorer has just been upgraded. The all new Heiniger Xplorer Pro Cordless Clipper is ideal for professional horse and cattle clipping. Even more powerful than the Xplorer, the Xplorer Pro has 2 speed settings of 2450 and 2900 dbs/minute and an integrated shearing pressure indicator. Also lighter than the original Xplorer, (weighing just 975 grams) and quieter. The first clipper to date to include a patented tension indicator which provides more precise clipping than ever before and extends the clipper’s life. Due to it's unique double gear wheel, power is optimally transferred from the motor to the clipper head, providing low vibration. Comes with 2x 10.8v Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries to deliver 120 minutes of clipping time each from a 90 minute recharge, allowing you to clip and charge at the same time for endless run-time. LED power indicator shows battery charge level.

Replacement blades available in sizes 35/17, 31F/15, 21/23 and 31/15.
Description
Comes complete with: Xplorer Pro cordless clipper with wrist loop, 2 rechargable Lithium-ion batteries, 35F/23 standard horse and cow blade set, hard-sided storage carry case, charging dock, power pack with NZ plug, full size oil, Heiniger screwdriver (for easy blade changes), cleaning brush, detailed operating instructions. See Specifications below for blades information.
TIP: Lefty loosey, righty tighty! Watch the video below for how to tighten your Xplorers. The easy way to set the tension is with the clipper on, adjust the tension looser (turn dial left) until you hear the blade noise change. While still running, tighten the tension (turn dial right) slowly just until you hear the blade noise change again. Give it a further 2 half turns and start clipping. If needed, you can further tighten a quarter turn at a time (remember to clip in-between to test).
Watch the videos below to see the Xplorer in action and how to set blade tension.
Specifications
Blades
This clipper comes with the standard equine blade set 35F/23 for that show finish, leaving a smooth and long lasting finish with 1-2mm of cover.
Keep blades lubricated following oil instructions (included with the clippers).
Use Heiniger Special Oil (available from AllGroom) to extend blade performance, a biodegradable non-toxic clipper oil developed by Heiniger.
Note that fine blades (indicated by an F) leave a shorter finish. A 31 blade is 2 to 4mm versus a 31F (fine) which is 1 to 2mm for example.
Swapping blades is a simple matter of unscrewing and changing the blades, screwing them back up and adjusting the tension. See the video on the Details tab showing how to adjust the tension. A special screwdriver is included with your Xplorers for changing blades.
Heiniger Cleaning and Care Instructions
(a printed copy of these instructions is also included with your Xplorer clippers)
Cleaning
After clipping, remove all oil from the machine by rubbing it down with a dry cloth and carefully clean the head and blades with a dry brush as supplied with each new machine.
The use of kerosene or other liquid may cause the parts to wear prematurely. Do not use compressed air to clean any area of the machine. Regularly cleaning the air filter with a dry brush is essential.
NEVER IMMERSE OR CLEAN THE MACHINE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID
KEROSENE AND OTHER CLEANING PRODUCTS ARE NOT A FORM OF LUBRICATION
Lubrication
The blades and machine head must be adequately lubricated during clipping so that they don’t run dry and become hot. Re-oil the parts after cleaning to prevent rusting.
If the clipping pressure is too low, hair can gather between the clipping blades. This results in a poor clipping quality.
In this case, clean the clipping blades as described in the manual.
