ALLGROOM BEST SELLER
A groomers best friend, the Andis Slicker reduces shedding by up to 90%, gets in to remove dead loose hair from the undercoat and topcoat, stimulates hair follicles to help new, healthier coat growth, and of course, eliminates nasty tangles and matting. Also available in small and large sizes.
Eliminates tangles and matting, fluffs up and beautifies the coat, and stimulates the hair follicles to promote growth and healthy hair. We love the anti-slip, easy-grip handle. Much more comfortable, especially when dealing with very knotty tangled coats, larger dogs, thicker or double-coats, or a busy day of back-to-back bookings! The medium is a great size for all breeds and weighted nicely in the hand.

For long, parted coats (eg: Spaniels, Afghans)
Before brushing, spray coat with coat conditioner or coat dressing. To fluff the coat, brush lightly over the top of the coat to set. Brush from bottom-up and from shoulders forward to fluff the rough. Fluff any area in which you will pet has a thick coat, such as tail, body and chest.
Grooming wire coats (eg: Terriers, Schnauzers)
Brush thoroughly to remove loose coat, stimulate the skin and loosen and dead coat. Brush first in the direction of the hair growth, then brush in the opposite direction to remove tangles.
Grooming curly, wool or weighty coats (eg: Poodles)
Dogs with this kind of hair tend are more prone to dead hair matting, so need to be brushed more frequently. Before brushing, spray the coat with coat conditioner, coat dressing or detangler to keep it soft (brushing a dry coat can result in damage or breaking the hair). Brush from the base to the tips of the hair, and part the hair as you go, working one section at a time. Most on only when each section is entirely knot-free. Thick coats should be brushed first in the direction of the hair growth, and then gently brushed in the opposite direction to fluff the hair.
