A little workhorse dryer at a great price. This is a fluff dryer, also called a stand dryer, and is for the dryer plus stand with hands-free rigid hose, flexible hose and nozzles included.
Use for drying start to finish for sensitive / anxious pups, smaller breeds and lighter coats, or for finishing and fluff drying after using a velocity dryer first for all coat types. Popular for the little guys but rated for all breeds.

Description
The Vortex 5 gets it names from offering 5 air force (or air speed) settings, and 5 heat settings, able to be controlled independently, giving you the option of low speed and high heat if desired.
The Vortex 5 dryer can be purchased either by itself (dryer only), or as a set with dryer plus stand. The stand is not available for purchase by itself.
On low the noise level is around 79dB (a running shower is around 70dB for comparison). The dryer by itself comes with a flexible hose (x1) and nozzles (x2) included. You can also purchase a hands-free hose by itself, or when you buy the dryer plus stand, you get the dryer, flexible hose, 2 nozzles, rigid hands-free hose, and stand all included.
Power adjustable up to 2,200W and maximum wind velocity up to 50 m/sec. Heat adjustable up to 60C (note average heat varies based on ambient air temperature). The LCD display panel shows average temperature and keeps track of working hours.
This is a top seller due to the benefit of separate heat and air speed settings. Particularly popular to use with the air flow turned down for anxious dogs.

Shipping: If you order a mix of products with your dryer (eg. table, clipper, shampoo, dryer), smaller items may be sent by courier with larger items shipped separately. You'll see two (or more) tracking numbers for your order if sent separately. Please note that tables / dryers may take 1 to 2 extra days to arrive.
Looking after your dryer
Maintenance:
To clean the filter > Unscrew the black knob in the centre of the back panel of the dryer. The back panel will release and you can easily remove and clean the filter pad. Quick-clean daily and thoroughly blow-clean weekly to prevent fur getting in to the motor over time. Regular removal of hair build-up from the filter is very important to extend the life of your dryer, and avoid damage to the motor.
Brushes:
The carbon brushes (2 per motor) will need replacing after a few hundred hours of use. Carbon brushes last an average of 300 to 600 hours depending on the dryer's motor, frequency of use, speeds and heat settings used. In our experience Vortex 5 dryers are closer to the 300 hour end of that range, but carbon brush wear hours are a guide only and brushes may be replacing more or less frequently. Spare brushes are available.

When will my order leave?
Same day dispatch for orders placed before 1pm Mon-Fri. Orders placed over the weekend or public holiday will be dispatched next business day.
When will my order arrive?
For New Zealand orders, most parcels arrive 1-3 working days after they've left us. Allow an extra day or two for rural delivery and oversized orders.
For Australian orders, estimated delivery is 3 to 7 working days after they've left us.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is estimated by weight and starts from $4.80. The website works out shipping in checkout, before you pay.
Are you in stock?
Stock levels on our website are live. What's showing in stock online is physically in stock in our NZ warehouse, ready to ship. Please note we do not work with back-orders.

Can I return what I've purchased?
If you’d like to return an item, please head to our contact page and fill out the return request form. We’ll be in touch to guide you through the process.
Change of Mind Returns
We offer a 7-Day Peace of Mind return policy.
If you've purchased the wrong item, size, or no longer need it, you can return it for an exchange or refund. Just make sure to contact us within 7 days of the products arrival.
Please be aware we can only accept items for return that are 100% brand new, unused and in resalable condition. Used or tested items are not eligible for a return. For change of mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Can I choose a refund, store credit, or exchange?
As long as your item is unused, and you have contacted us within 7 days of the products arrival, you can return your item for your choice of a refund or an exchange. We are unable to offer store credit.
For exchanges, you can use the value toward any other item of equal or greater value, with any additional shipping costs covered by you.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method or your nominated bank account, minus a 2.5% processing fee.
Warranty Returns
All items we sell come with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty, covering defects caused by manufacturing faults, but not wear and tear or misuse. For more about warranties and what’s covered, click here.
How do I Request a Warranty Return?
If you believe your product has a fault or defect, please head to our contact page and fill out the return request form. We’ll be in touch to help resolve the issue, and we’ll cover the cost of return postage if needed.
Can I choose a repair, refund, or replacement?
If possible, we always aim to repair first. We have authorised technicians available for every brand we sell. If a repair is not possible, then we will provide a replacement. If a replacement unit is not available, we will offer a refund.
Damaged Items
While we do our best to package every parcel safely, rough handing can lead to a less than ideal unboxing experience. If you receive a broken or damaged product, please let us know as soon as possible and send us an email to support@allgroom.co.nz with photo evidence of the damage.
